Wow.
So I knew I hadn't updated my blog in a long time. Upon logging in and viewing I hadn't even realised it has been since Feb that I last posted something. Pretty terrible! Real life has gotten in the way, and I never got around to doing what I was supposed to do.
Now that's changed!
Earlier this year my friends Chris and Craig got me heavily back into Transformer's collecting. Since then I have started buying 3rd Party toys, and the Takara/Tomy Masterpiece line. And given my love for gestalts back when I was a kid, it was natural for me to start buying the 3rd Party combiners.
Here is FansProject's Car Crash, otherwise known as Not Breakdown. The first limb released for their Intimidator gestalt, otherwise known as Not Menasor.

Kotobukiya 1/100 Metal Gear Rex - open box
So I've been busy with work and whatnot over the past week, but I managed to find some time to get some things sorted with the Hood, as well as some other hobby projects.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago on ShinTokyo's facebook page that they had the new 1/100 Metal Gear Rex from Kotobukiya in stock. When pre-orders when up initially on HLJ I was pretty tempted, but I decided against purchasing as I didn't want to buy any new kits at this point.
Today I caved and went down to ShinTokyo and bought it over the counter. For $100 AUD ($20 more than the original list price.. seen here) I felt it was more than worth it.

1/200 HMS Hood - Pom-Pom and Missile Launcher mount
For those viewing this for the first time, for nearly a year now I've been slowly plugging away at a 1/200 scale HMS Hood model, made by Hachette Partworks.
Welcome! Somewhat..
For a while now I've been toying with the idea of finally creating my own blog to showcase what I'm working on, my ideas and thoughts, and just generally my hobby.
This year I decided it would be the year I begin this, and keep it up to date on a frequent basis. I'm not a graphics wizard, so the template is pretty basic. I'd rather let my photos do the work. Maybe eventually I'll design a swank banner and other imagery to go with the site, but until that day comes around I'll leave it like this.
I'll be adding images through my photobucket site, so the idea will be that you can view the larger image via photobucket. I'll have to play around a bit to see how I can get it working the way I want it to.
I intend on making my first update to this blog fairly soon! And I hope you all enjoy what I contribute to this little space on the internet. :)
